Welcome to the web site for the Golden Eagles Bands of the Annapolis Area Christian School, which include the marching band, concert band, jazz band, low brass ensemble and percussion ensemble. You will find news, photos and calendar events of all the bands. The AACS Marching Band has a number of projects that will need to be accomplished this summer before the start of Band Camp. Parents will be needed to complete these projects. We need designers/team leaders, planners, carpenters, mechanics, and general handy people to make these projects happen. Jeff and Mike Shaner cannot accomplish all this work without help and the first three tasks are mission essential for the marching season. With a reasonable amount of help, most of the tasks will take not more than a day or two, and some less.
Obviously, more help and the faster it goes, especially if we have a craftsman / expert to provide leadership and oversight for each project. Also, we want to get started early so we are not in a crisis at the end of August.

 Color Guard tryout dates have been announced for the 2012 Marching Band season. The will be held at the upper school on the following dates:
April 23 - 3:30 - 5:30pm
April 24 - 3:30 - 5:30pm
April 26 - 3:30 - 5:30pm
Update: no tryouts on April 27 due to prom.
All current members must still try out. All new members must try out as well. All are welcomed. |

Naval Academy Band at Annapolis Area Christian School
The Naval Academy Band will present a concert at the Annapolis Area Christian School in Severn, Md. on Thursday, February 9th at 7:00 p.m.
Conducted by Ensign Bruce Mansfield, the band will present a program to include the overture to Giuseppe Verdi's La Forza del Destino, Chester by William Schuman, and King Cotton March by John Philip Sousa. The featured soloist will be Musician First Class Zachary Hollister, performing Rhapsody for Bass Trombone by Stephen Bulla.
This concert is free and open to the public with no tickets required. Annapolis Area Christian School is located at 109 Burns Crossing Road in Severn, Md. Mini camp #1 - June 18, 19, 20 (2012) from 8-4 at high school (more details to follow)
Mini Camp #2 - August 7,8,9,10 - (2012) from 8-4 at high school (more details to follow)
(Note: Revised Dates) Band Camp- August 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 - (2012) at West River (providing there are no unforeseen difficulties). Band Camp begins on Saturday the 11th at 8 am.
