Marching band camp does not hire a certified/professional nurse; instead parent volunteers trained in first aid and CPR staff the camp for the week. The following information is important medical information needed for band camp:

1.      Sports physicals must be completed prior to your child checking in at band camp. Sports physical forms and a copy of your health insurance card must be turned in at band camp when the camper arrives. Your child may not stay at camp without those two items! Military families need to submit proper documentation of military status in lieu of insurance cards.

2.       In addition, the "Sport Parent/Authorization /Waiver Form with Emergency Contact" should have been signed and turned in prior to your child participating in Tuesday/Thursday evening practices. If not, please complete this required form and include that during camp registration check in as well. Please include one additional emergency contact other than both parents. One form can be completed for multiply children - please note that on the top of the form.

3.      Campers requiring daily medications or PRN medications (inhalers, Epi-pens) must have the doctor administration form completed and signed by a physician prior to camp check in. Please read the attached policy "Annapolis Area Christian School Parent Request to Administer Medication at School and Physician Order Form." We will not be able to give even Tylenol to your child without that form signed by your doctor.

4.      If your child has had the flu or fever they must be fever-free a full 24 hours prior to being sent to camp. Please DO NOT send your child to camp until you are sure they have completely recovered. We will call parents to pick up sick children if they present flu symptoms.

5.      We will be encouraging regular hand washing and sanitation during the week. Please talk to your children about refraining from sharing drinks and other personal items with friends. You are encouraged to send sterile wipes and sanitation cleanser to camp.
